Transformers Summit Senegal 2019

The Transformers Summit 2019 was organised in close partnership with the Islamic Development Bank and the Government of Senegal. Together, leveraging the many shared aims and commitments to using science, technology and innovation to solve global development challenges.

The Transformers Summit and Transformers Academy 2020 in Dakar, Senegal, brought together a powerful coalition of entrepreneurs, innovators and global leaders to discuss the role of science, innovation and technology, in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The Transformers Summit, and Transformer Academy 2019, were hosted in partnership with the Government of Senegal, and with support from President of Senegal, H.E Macky Sall. The events were was comprised of the top 30+ innovators and entrepreneurs receiving the round of grants from the IsDB’s $500M Transform Fund.

The Summit was organised around panels and Q&A sessions with international leaders from the private sector, public sector and governments, as well as philanthropists and leading development experts. The focus of the Summit was on discussing new ideas and solutions from all parts of the world, where building sustainable, healthy and thriving communities is more important than ever before.
